A newborn's sleep has a biological rhythm that is different from ours. When we understand this, frustration fades and patience grows—after all, your little one is still learning how to organize their schedule!

In the first few months: short cycles are completely normal
Don't worry: it is completely expected for babies to sleep in short stretches and wake up every 2 to 3 hours to feed, both day and night. Little by little, they will adjust to the rhythm of day and night—and that takes time!
Create a sleep-friendly environment
Small details go a long way in helping your baby understand it's time to rest:
- A darkened room with minimal stimulation;
- A comfortable temperature, without too many layers of clothing;
- A gentle, predictable routine before bedtime—by consistently following the same steps in order, they will start to associate them with: “it's time to rest now.”

Track sleep to understand it better
Using a notebook, planner, or app to track sleep and wake windows helps you spot patterns. This allows you to anticipate when they will be sleepy and plan your day with more peace of mind, no guesswork needed!
